The MIL-DTL-38999 Series 3 products are packaged and shipped according to the following requirements:
All products shall be packaged in accordance with MIL-STD-2073-1, Method 10 or Method 20, as applicable. The packaging shall provide adequate protection against damage during shipment and storage.
All packaging materials used shall be non-corrosive, non-toxic, and non-abrasive to the product. All products shall be individually packaged unless otherwise specified by the customer.
Products shall be shipped in accordance with the transportation requirements specified in MIL-STD-2073-1, Method 10 or Method 20, as applicable.
For international shipments, products shall be packaged and shipped in accordance with the requirements of the International Air Transport Association (IATA) Dangerous Goods Regulations and the International Maritime Dangerous Goods (IMDG) Code.
All shipping documents shall clearly indicate the product name, part number, quantity, and any special handling or storage requirements.
The customer shall be responsible for any additional shipping charges incurred due to special handling or shipping requirements.
Upon receipt, the customer shall inspect the products for any damage or discrepancies. Any discrepancies shall be reported to the supplier within 5 business days of receipt. Failure to report discrepancies within this time period may result in rejection of the product.
The customer shall accept or reject the products within 30 days of receipt. Failure to accept or reject the products within this time period may result in automatic acceptance of the products.
Products shall be stored in a clean, dry, and temperature-controlled environment. Products shall be stored in their original packaging until ready for use.
If products are stored for longer than 6 months, they shall be inspected and tested to ensure they meet all specifications before use.
